Christmas has passed and it’s time to look back on our yearly MeeMaken Christmas fundraiser! Every year during Christmas, colleagues from The Netherlands donate money to The Hunger Project NL. With this donation, we support the community-led restoration of the Gewocha Forest in Ethiopia.

Colleagues can donate in two ways. They can choose to not receive their yearly Christmas present and instead, donate the complete value. Additionally, colleagues can also donate a self-selected amount of money through a ‘Tikkie’. At the end of the fundraiser, the MeeMaken holding has announced to double the raised amount of money. This year, we have raised the total amount of €5.010!

We place great value on contributing to a world free of hunger. This is why supporting SDG 2 – Zero Hunger, together with 5 other SDG’s, forms the basis for our sustainable strategy. We believe in being Stronger Through Collaboration and feel proud to have been able to support the Hunger Project NL in their good work during the past years. The money raised by our Christmas Fundraiser 2023 will be used entirely for the Gewocha Forest restoration project in Ethiopia.
