Liftwerx launches second Rotorhook™ crane!

September 2, 2020

After the successful launch of our RotorHook™ technology in 2019, LiftWerx has been fortunate to have signed more service contracts with several more customers. Accordingly, LiftWerx has recently made a decision to invest in a second RotorHook™ crane, which will be launched in May 2021. This crane will be produced at KenzFigee’s facilities in Zaandam, the Netherlands. While the first RotorHook™ crane has largely been working in the USA, this second crane will be based in Canada.

This new RotorHook™ crane will have more capabilities than the original design. Not only will it be capable to perform main bearing exchanges on Siemens 2.3MW wind turbines, it will also have the ability to exchange main bearings, rotors, gearboxes and full drivetrains on General Electric 1.X wind turbines. The new General Electric applications will be designed and produced by LiftWerx’s engineered team, with oversight from Eager.One.

Thanks again to a great collaboration within the Meemaken Group!
