As of October 2019 KenzFigee is mainly using shore power for its testing facility on the quayside in Zaandam, the Netherlands.

The decision is a direct result of KenzFigee’s commitment to create a more sustainable business and minimizing our environmental footprint. As the industry is more and more moving towards electrical cranes, minimizing the use of diesel generators at the quayside and in the workshop is a logical step and one of the many measures the company is taking.

By using shore power, KenzFigee increases business flexibility, minimizes costs and significantly reduces CO2 emissions and furthermore is improving the quality of the working environment of its employees and subcontractors at the yard in Zaandam, the Netherlands
