Inspiring brainstorm session: Be the engine!

January 16, 2024

All too often, knowledge remains trapped in people’s minds. Hence the Dutch expression: ”Knowledge is silver, education is gold’‘. In collaboration with MeeMaken and Splintt, Selmers offers an inspiring brainstorm session and would like for you to join!

Cylinders

The theme ‘cylinders’ forms the basis for this session. In this gathering, Rob Schouten will explain all the ins and outs. From mechanical energy and repeated cycles of intake, compression, and combustion, to power output and maintenance for extended lifespan.

Stronger together

Splintt will be present during the session and will note down all of the questions (and answers) that arise and use them in the blueprint for an eLearning. The finished result can be used by both customers and operational decision makers that are interested in this topic. Because while knowledge may be silver – and education gold – the opportunity for us as a group to really benefit from each other’s knowledge is platinum!

Machine meets eLearning

Do we really benefit from an eLearning like this one? It has been said that, the more complex a subject, the more useful an online training. You can use animations, videos, images, text, and spoken word. Additionally, interactive elements make it possible to only click on parts that are relevant to you. You can also easily test your knowledge afterwards.

The perfect recipe for standardization

Selmers is currently in a digitalization process with their Selmers Plant Management System. Digitalized and automated processes will play a big role in most of Selmers’ future services. This is why Selmers follows the structure of ISA88. By executing all processes in a series of tasks or operations, and documenting and automating this series, a standard that is repeatable and measurable will emerge. This is exactly what marks the value of this brainstorm session.

The brainstorm session will be held on Tuesday 21th of May, from 16:00 till 18:00, at the Selmers office in the cantine. Please join and send an e-mail to academy@meemaken.com. Your input is valuable!
