Eager.one supports Bunge's ambitious construction project
September 10, 2024
As an engineering company, Eager.one specializes in the engineering of lifting, handling and installation equipment. In addition, they also design and build customized lifting tools to enable efficient and safe execution of operations in particularly offshore wind.
But did you know that Eager.one engineers are also often deployed as independent experts in the field of vertical and horizontal transport? For example, we are currently working with a team of 3 persons at Bunge, one of the world leaders in the food processing industry.
Bunge is building a new refinery for vegetable oils in Westzaan, just above Amsterdam. This requires all kinds of storage tanks, vessels and piperacks to be lifted. This is done with a variety of different types of cranes, transport equipment and floating sheerlegs.
“And let this exactly be Eager.one’s expertise!” says Stijn Koot, who, as Eager.one’s project engineer, is responsible for the project management at Bunge. “In the coming period, we will be assisting Bunge with everything related to on-site movements of factory parts. This includes, for example, checking lifting beams that are made especially for this project, reviewing and approving all plans, and thinking along about how we can get everything in place as efficiently and safely as possible.”
“In addition, we are present during the execution of critical lifting jobs to be able to respond immediately to changes and ensure that everything is done as safely as possible.”
Eager.one’s background as both designers of lifting equipment, as well as experts in performing lifting and transportation jobs, is the ideal combination for Bunge to provide them with the broadest possible support!
